Personal Tide Pool: Tide Pools?

Over the last couple of evenings I put together my thoughts on what the "Tide Pools" idea means to me in terms of an analogy between them and life. I planned on posting it here but it turns out it was much to long (I guess I got carried away). I paraphrased my thoughts and posted it in my "About Me" section. A Simple Philosophy

Life is a series of “Tide Pools”, capturing time, knowledge, experiences and relationships. Varying in size, they are full of life and unforgettable beauty. They can be dark, foreboding with barnacles and spiny urchins or distant and shallow, counting on the highest tides to exist. The deepest pools are linked like family inseparable by changing tides. Every pool regardless of size or content has a purpose. My children are seeing their tide pools develop. Each is a unique prism displaying the vibrant colors of life. Pondering the pools offers wisdom and refinement, like the rock cradling the tide pools is polished over time by the sea’s many moods. We ride the surging waves when the tide is high and look to the horizon at its splendor and promise, yet what is below can not be ignored. The cycling tide recedes to reveal glistening pools, exposed and vulnerable, giving way to opportunities for learning. The knowledge gained rises with the next high tide. When we think we’ve acquired all we can from reflecting on ourselves in the mirror of our tide pools, we can look up humbled to observe an endless ocean that firmly yet lovingly polishes an infinite number of “Tide Pools”.
